A sustainable material has to work in its intended application. We investigate how monomers, polymer structure and processing affect properties such as strength, barrier performance and degradation behaviour.

Making the connection

We combine polymer synthesis, film preparation, molecular and thermal characterisation, mechanical testing, barrier measurements and controlled degradation studies. Data from each stage help us connect molecular design to real material behaviour.
